Bluer than Blue

The holidays are supposed to be a joyful time of good cheer and optimistic hopes. Yet, it is not unusual for many of us to feel sad or lonely during the holiday period -- a condition that has come to be called holiday blues or holiday depression.

Flu epidemics cause an average of 20,000 deaths each year in the United States.

The cancer was a result of new tumors that had grown on her ovaries and metastasized to her stomach. The cruel irony of this is that her once healthy ovaries had received preventative radiation treatments during a bout with cervical cancer eleven years before, and now her worst fears were realized.
